2017 University of Toronto Drama Festival

February 9-11, 2017, Hart House Theatre

I was the Festival Coordinator for the UofT Drama Festival, which was founded in 1936 and revived in 1993. I sat on the UofT Drama Coalition and worked with Hart House General Manager Doug Floyd. David Yee was the adjudicator. Six student theatre companies participated, putting on nine shows over three days, including the premiere of Nam Nguyen's A Perfect Bowl of Phở.

At the conclusion of my first year as Festival Coordinator, I implemented changes to how the Festival was run; establishing a lineage of pairs of Coordinators in order to preserve institutional memory, and allowing submissions to the Festival from groups outside of the six established campus theatre companies. I also re-organized the Google Drive that had been passed down from previous Coordinators to make it more easily navigable.
