Part of the 2018 U of T Drama Festival
Given that the 2018 McGill Drama Festival was happening at the same time as the 2018 University of Toronto Drama Festival, and given that I was both one of the U of T Drama Festival Coordinators and one of the Executive Team Members of the U of T Improv Team, I created, directed, and hosted an improv show parodying the format of a student one-act play festival. Audience members selected three out of the six play titles of the shows actually being performed at McGill that weekend to be improvised by the U of T Improv Team, and former team member Frederick Gietz provided humorous adjudication at the conclusion of the hour-long performance. Jules Mendoza provided improvised lighting design.
The plays selected for performance were Suzanne, Ground Control, and Brunch!.
This show format has been repeated at the 2019 and 2020 U of T Drama Festivals.
